Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026

About this policy

90 Seconds Later is an independent editorial project based in Athens and operated by K. A. Bourousis. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, K. A. Bourousis is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information the project handles and why. You can contact us at hello@90secondslater.com.

What we collect

We collect only:

  • email addresses submitted voluntarily for the 90 Seconds Later Dispatch;
  • information you choose to include in a message sent to us; and
  • strictly necessary technical data processed by our hosting and security providers to deliver, operate and protect the site.

How we use your information

An email address submitted for the Dispatch is used only to send the Dispatch and related updates from 90 Seconds Later. The legal basis for this is your consent.

Newsletter sign-up is managed through beehiiv and uses double opt-in. Your subscription becomes active only after you confirm your email address. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in every email.

Information included in a message is used only to read and respond to that message.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. The site does not currently use advertising trackers or active analytics tracking. If that changes, this policy will be updated and any required consent process will be put in place.

Service providers

beehiiv is used to manage subscribers and send email. Apple iCloud Mail is used to receive and send correspondence addressed to hello@90secondslater.com. The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites, while the domain and DNS are managed through Cloudflare. These providers process the information needed to supply their respective services under their own terms and privacy practices.

International processing

Some service providers may process personal information outside the European Economic Area. Where this involves an international transfer, safeguards required by applicable data protection law are used. We do not claim that subscriber data is stored exclusively within the European Union.

Cookies

The site currently uses only the technical functionality necessary to operate and protect it. It does not currently use advertising cookies or active analytics tracking. If non-essential cookies or tracking technologies are introduced, this policy and the relevant consent controls will be updated before they are activated.

How long we keep information

Subscriber email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or make a valid deletion request, except where limited retention is required for legal or technical reasons. Information sent in correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the message and any necessary follow-up.

Your rights

Depending on the applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information; restrict its processing; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. In Greece, this is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

For any privacy request, email hello@90secondslater.com.
